Since giving his Carnegie Hall debut, American violinist Anton Miller has appeared throughout North and South America, Asia, and Europe as a soloist, chamber musician, and pedagogue. Anton has also been concertmaster for a number of orchestras including thirty-five years with the Lincoln Symphony. In the 2024-25 season, he is serving as Principal Second Violin of the Iceland Symphony. Upcoming premieres include a violin concerto by Elena Ruehr and chamber music by Anne Guzzo, Errollyn Wallen,  ildigunnur Runarsdottir and Ken Steen. He is a member of the Miller-Porfiris Duo and Quartet ES. Recent recordings include four albums with the Miller-Porfiris Duo and three commissioned quartets by Elena Ruehr (Quartet ES). Anton’s recording of Kurt Weill’s Violin Concerto was released to rave reviews on Naxos. Anton is Professor of Violin and Chair of Strings at The Hartt School, University of Hartford, and was previously on the faculty of New York University, the Oberlin Conservatory, Lawrence University, and Swarthmore College. He completed his Master of Music degree at The Juilliard School studying with renowned violin pedagogue Dorothy DeLay, and his Bachelor of Music Degree from Indiana University as a student of Franco Gulli. www.antonmiller.com
